What are your favorite traits about yourself?

Authenticity and my Attentiveness towards others are some of my favorite qualities. Being observant and showing consideration and care towards others is very important to me alongside demonstrating honesty and integrity in actions and interactions.

When it comes to working with the community; what work do you feel the most passionate about doing?

I am passionate about inspiring women and young girls to get into technical skills such as welding and fabrication I have paid the road for women in different companies where I have been the first woman to weld and successfully lead the weld departments. I hope I can serve as an example that you can be you can build a career off of welding based on a good work ethic and determination.

How do you think LWG will help you reach your professional goals?

Latina’s Welding Guild mission statement which is Latinas empowering the community through welding is such a powerful quote, I feel that Latina’s Welding Guild Serves as an example that women can be successful in the male-dominated field of welding and fabrication.

Whats a strange food combination you love? Or what’s a unique talent that you have?

I feel one of my unique talents is being able to foresee challenges and prepare to overcome them while maintaining an optimistic attitude.

What would you tell someone who’s struggling with feeling the confidence to invest in themselves?

I still remember the first day that I was introduced to welding, and I encourage anybody who is going to go through our programs not to get intimidated by welding and that we all go through it, if you have a positive attitude and a commitment to learning you will be successful.
