YOUTH WELDING
Our mission is to provide high-quality welding education and training to individuals of all backgrounds, with a particular focus on empowering women, underserved communities, and youth. We strive to create a barrier-free learning environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and collaboration. By equipping our students with the skills and knowledge to succeed in the welding trade, we aim to foster economic opportunity and strengthen our local communities.
The LWG Youth Welding training program offers incoming 6th-12th graders a safe learning environment to explore a career in the welding trades through our year-round Youth Welding Clubs and Youth Welding Camps. Our program emphasizes project-based learning, allowing participants to engage in practical tasks that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By actively participating in welding projects, youth can develop their creativity, attention to detail, and technical proficiency. Moreover, this program equips them with essential 21st-century skills, such collaboration, communication, and leadership, all of which are vital in today’s rapidly evolving job market. In this immersive environment, LWG aims to drive economic mobility within our community through our multigenerational approach to essential trade skill education.
