INTRO TO GAS TUNGSTEN ARC (GTAW/TIG) WELDING

Objective: TIG welding finds diverse applications in different industries. In the food sector, it is used for welding stainless steel, while in the aircraft and aerospace industry, it is employed for welding stainless, aluminum, titanium, and magnesium. The technique extends to race car frames, where alloys are welded, and to pressure vessels, where mild steel is commonly utilized. Beyond industrial contexts, TIG welding is a valuable skill for home hobbyists and artists, particularly for crafting sculptures and various creative projects. Materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and, to a lesser extent, copper are commonly utilized by hobbyists and artists in their TIG welding endeavors.

In this foundational Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) course, participants will delve into welding theory alongside practical, hands-on training in readiness for the American Welding Society (AWS) 2F Certification Test. The program also includes the development of job readiness skills, equipping students for entry into the workforce, progression to Level 3 Courses, further educational pursuits, or entrepreneurial endeavors.
